In Clay Play, campers will roll up their sleeves and get creating with all the squishy, sticky, and messy joys of working with clay! From enchanting and whimsical designs to clever and functional pieces, this class is all about embracing the creative process. Guided by Breck’s very own "Mayor of Artville," Carol Grams, this course invites campers to craft, experiment, and laugh their way through projects that celebrate imagination and play. Unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills with bsp and The Works as you combine woodworking and engineering to make life better for animals! Campers will learn sawing, sanding, and drilling techniques to craft wooden creatures with wiggly arms and legs. Then, take on the challenge of designing adaptive equipment and enrichment toys for animals with unique needs. From building hedgehog friends to inventing rescue solutions for pets, this camp blends hands-on craftsmanship with imaginative engineering. Calling all animal lovers! During this two week session, campers will explore the world's most fascinating habitats, from the icy Arctic to the lush jungle and the vast ocean depths. They’ll learn about the unique environments animals call home and explore the amazing behaviors that help them survive and thrive. Using their creativity and newfound knowledge, campers will design and build their own diorama, featuring an animal of their choice in its natural habitat. This hands-on class combines education and imagination, inspiring a deeper connection to the incredible creatures that share our planet!

Designed for those with a curiosity for theater, this course is thoughtfully tailored to engage and inspire a younger audience. Campers will dive into their favorite stories—whether from books, movies, or TV shows—and explore what makes them so captivating. Campers will analyze the essential elements of storytelling, such as compelling characters, dynamic settings, and thrilling action, while bringing selected scenes to life. Although music and movement may play a role in this course, the focus will not be on singing or dancing. Instead, students will engage in small group activities, discussions, and collaborative presentations, fostering a comfortable and supportive environment for exploration and creativity. This course is perfect for aspiring writers, playwrights, and directors eager to uncover what makes characters engaging and plotlines resonate with an audience!

bsp and Code Ninjas will unlock your creativity with this exciting camp that blends the worlds of game design, coding, and imagination! Perfect for aspiring creators, campers will explore popular platforms like Minecraft® and Roblox®, diving into pre-built worlds and tackling fun challenges that teach key concepts of replicating the physical world in virtual environments. From building communities to simulating flight, they’ll develop STEM skills while having a blast! Campers will also be introduced to basic coding and game design through interactive games like hide-and-seek, clicker challenges, and mazes. Each day brings new opportunities to learn, explore, and create!

Wishing you could spend your summer outside by the water? Well, consider your wish granted—or should we say your fish? Join Mr. Liam for afternoons on the pond as we explore the shores of Breck’s 52-acre campus, and beyond! If you’ve never so much as seen a fishing rod, or you’re an avid angler, there’s room for all to practice important fishing skills! Campers will learn casting, reeling, tying knots, landing a fish, and, of course, the fine art of spinning a fish tale. With all gear included, and multiple trips to local hotspots, it won’t matter whether we catch sunfish or just sun rays, this class is sure to be a keeper!

Due to the three day session, we will not be diving into Specialty Camps during Session Two. Please explore Signature Camp for second session programming. Join us for Firecracker Fest for three fun-filled red, white, and blue theme days. From cookouts and yard games to tie dye and glow sticks, it’s sure to be a Party in the USA!

Mindful Movers is all about finding balance—blending gross motor movement and calming mindfulness activities to help campers feel their best. Campers will engage in yoga, simple dance routines, obstacle courses, and light movement games that encourage them to stay active in a fun, relaxed way. Alongside these exercises, they’ll explore mindfulness practices such as journaling, meditation, positive affirmations, and breathing exercises. With activities such as creating stress balls, nature walks, cozy reading sessions, and whipping up healthy snacks, campers will learn about nutrition and have moments of peace and reflection. This course is designed to help young movers connect with their bodies, calm their minds, and embrace a sense of well-being in every way.

Campers will explore a variety of techniques and materials, including clay, papier-mâché, cardboard, found objects, tin foil, and weaving, to craft unique and imaginative works of art. Highlights include creating larger-than-life food sculptures and other oversized masterpieces that are sure to impress. This course encourages experimentation and bold design, blending traditional sculpting methods with inventive approaches. Campers will dive into the exciting world of micro:bit microcontrollers and Makey Makey circuit boards, designing and building innovative projects that feature interactive sensors and sound. Campers will also tackle engaging coding challenges, bring their creations to life, and explore building with LEGOS®. To top it all off, campers will combine their newfound skills to craft an interactive board game, highlighting their creativity, ingenuity, and problem-solving expertise.

Don’t let this be a Cruel Summer! Swifties unite and join us as we have our own Era’s Tour at bsp! From making and trading friendship bracelets to karaoke dance parties, this Specialty Camp strives to foster a supportive community where young Swifties can express themselves, make lifelong memories, share their love for Taylor Swift, and live out their Wildest Dreams. Campers will channel their favorite Grammy award winning artist and walk the Red carpet—where they’ll never go out of Style.
